When it comes to baking a rich, moist, and perfectly textured chocolate cake, the right oven can make all the difference. Algor ovens are designed with advanced heating technology and precise temperature control, helping you achieve consistently exceptional baking results—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced baker.

Why Algor Ovens Are Ideal for Baking

Algor ovens feature convection cooking, smart temperature regulation, and user-friendly controls. The convection system circulates hot air evenly throughout the oven, preventing uneven baking or hot spots. This ensures your chocolate cake comes out with the same soft texture and deep flavor throughout.

Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup (65g) unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

  • 1½ tsp baking powder

  • 1½ tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

  • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (240ml) boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your Algor oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare the Pans:
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Add Wet Ingredients:
Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry mixture. Beat for about 2 minutes until smooth.

  5. Add Boiling Water:
Slowly stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin—this ensures a moist cake.

  6. Bake:
Divide the batter between the pans and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool:
Allow the cakes to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate Frosting (Optional)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3½ cups (440g) powdered sugar

  • ½ cup (45g) cocoa powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Beat butter until creamy.

  2. Add powdered sugar and cocoa; mix on low.

  3. Add salt, cream, and vanilla.

  4. Beat on high until smooth and fluffy.
